My Mission

I founded Away We Go back in 2011. With the help of my former coworkers, Lara Cleeland and Samantha Bermitz, we were able to chronicle our own experiences working for a remote fishing lodge in Alaska. Since that time, we have each gone on to experience new opportunities and adventures.

Less than a year after beginning this project, I decided to enroll in college (again) and pursue a degree in publishing studies, which I thought would keep me from traveling, but I couldn't have been more wrong.

I will finally be graduating in May and am starting to plan my big move to Alaska! Which means I will be planning a cross-country road trip and trying to take full advantage of my last few months in Illinois at the same time.

Away We Go was founded to appeal to travelers of all ages, and I'm thrilled to be continuing with the journey!
